Kara Butler English

Perhaps it is because I began making music before I began to study art,
but the biggest influence on my artwork has been music. Following
this comes theater, dance and literature as stages of influence.
They are all interrelated. The brush strokes are the notes, the
colors are the instruments and dancers in the performance. Whether
the notes and colors are planned or are a happy accident, they create
the song. To me, one cannot exist without another. |
